Rhinomics is a multinational initiative, working to develop a sustainable, legal, rhino horn trading model that is ethical, regulated and traceable. A model that ensures the trade in rhino horns promotes sustainable use, biodiversity protection and equitable economic growth and transformation.
We began as a group of internationally recognised rhino authorities and concerned individuals, convinced that legalising and regulating the sale of rhino horns will help alleviate the poaching crisis we currently find ourselves in.
We believe that this economic approach will help solve the supply and demand issues that affect buyers while working through a controlled, centralised exchange for regular funds to flow directly to rhino custodians, allowing them to increase security and broaden their range.
Through these efforts we are creating a self-sustaining finance mechanism to support the long-term survival and management of rhinos and the people and nature they depend on.
We work across nine rhino range countries and with key decision makers in Africa, Asia and Europe and are guided by Rhino Elders and Rhino Vets a group of conservationists, scientists and wildlife management specialists who together contribute decades of seminal knowledge and on the ground rhino management expertise.
