Rhinomics is a multinational initiative, working to develop a sustainable, legal, rhino horn trading model that is ethical, regulated and traceable. A model that ensures the trade in rhino horns promotes sustainable use, biodiversity protection and equitable economic growth and transformation.
We began as a group of internationally recognised rhino authorities and concerned individuals, convinced that legalising and regulating the sale of rhino horns will help alleviate the poaching crisis we currently find ourselves in.
We believe that this economic approach will help solve the supply and demand issues that affect buyers while working through a controlled, centralised exchange for regular funds to flow directly to rhino custodians, allowing them to increase security and broaden their range.
Rhinomics acknowledges the immense value of natural assets, not only for conservation but also for creating sustainable livelihoods and economic growth. At the core of this realisation is the understanding that wildlife and biodiversity are key components of a new economy – one that promotes job creation, fosters investment, and enables inclusive growth while protecting ecosystems.
